Origin: Carrara (Italy).

Appearance: Whitish background with evenly spread darker veins, blue and grey.

Properties: Colour variations and movement occur, even in the same batch. Little white stains and holes can appear with this material: this phenomenon is inherent to the stone. Bianco Carrara is sensitive to wet conditions, therefore increased care needs to be taken and forming of stains is possible. It is recommended to seal this stone to extend its longevity.

Use: Traditionally used since the time of Ancient Rome for sculptures and building deco, Bianco Carrara (also known as just Carrara), is one of the most popular materials for construction and renovation projects, thanks to its versatility and technical properties. Due to its good wear resistance (class 4), this natural stone is suitable for all internal uses, including floor, wall and stair covering, as well as bespoke stonework, in both domestic housing and in buildings with moderate commercial use. The stone material and the stone finish should be selected to suit the area it is being applied to.

Formats:  Tiles, slabs and cut-to-size.

Finishes: polished, honed, sand-blasted, flamed, brushed and custom-made finishes.
